Prepare Your Skin

It's crucial to thoroughly clean your skin before putting on mehendi. To start, carefully wash your hands and feet with soap and water to get rid of any dirt, oil, or lotion that may be present.

Choose High-Quality Mehendi Paste

To get a darker mehendi colour, the quality of the mehendi paste is crucial. Choose mehendi powder of exceptional quality that you can trust.

Let Your Mehendi Dry Naturally

Without using any external heat, let the mehendi paste on your hands and feet dry naturally. Avoid using a hairdryer or any other heating device to speed up drying because doing so could lead to uneven colour effects.

Avoid Water and Friction

After the mehendi paste has dried, keep the area away from water and anything that could cause friction on the area where it has been applied. The pigment can be diluted with water to prevent oxidation and darkening.

Apply Lemon and Sugar Water

You can add a mixture of lemon juice and sugar water to your design once the mehendi has entirely dried and the dry paste has been totally removed.

Moisturize and Protect the Mehendi Design

After removing the lemon-sugar solution, it's essential to moisturise your skin to keep it well-nourished. Over the mehendi design, smear a small layer of natural oil, such as coconut oil or olive oil.
