About Basic Bridal Mehendi
Mehndi, otherwise known as henna, is a paste corelated with positive spirits and good luck. According to the tradition the mehendi night is meant to be organised before the marriage to keep the bride’s stress level under control. The green henna paste is applied to the hands and feet of the bride, which house the nerve endings in the body, to help calm the bride’s nerves wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to a new life of marriage.
The bride and other females in the family get beautiful mehendi designs on their hands and feet. It is an event for both parties to have some fun, mixed with the usual dancing and feasting. Within the intricate design of the bride’s mehendi, the groom’s name or his initials are hidden.
Basic Bridal Mehendi (Hands up to Elbow, Legs – upto ankle) takes up to 3-4 hours for application depends upon bride’s choice of design and intricacy. Similarly, it takes 30 minutes to dry and 48 hours to reach its peak deep colour.
